Portraits:
I require a 50% deposit (via bank transfer) in order to start work on your order. I won’t ask for a penny more until you are completely happy with the final drawing.
Woodcrafts:
All my woodcrafts are paid for in full at the time of your order through their individual shop pages. I’ll get to work making them for you on receipt of payment. Everything on my woodcrafts pages is made to order.
All deposits and payments for private artwork are via bank transfer, everything else is paid using your credit or debit card through this website using Stripe.
Stripe is an online payment processing service that allows businesses to easily accept credit card and other digital payments on their website or mobile app.
For private commissions, once you’ve placed your order, I’ll confirm everything with you at first (if necessary) and send you an invoice for immediate payment. Your invoice will have my sort code and account number for you to make your payment securely directly from your bank – which will also serve as your receipt.
For any artwork commissions, if you’d like any add-ons like digital downloads, or further prints after you’re happy with the final watermarked image, I’ll request your balance via your original invoice so everything is fully paid and send you a special link in the same email which will contain a form to select your addons and pay via Stripe. You can order from my add-ons page at any time after full payment for the original artwork should you require further prints or downloads in the future.
Of course you can! However it is always best to provide me with photographs that have similar lighting and have subjects at a similar distance from camera. I will work with you to get this right. The more detail, the better the final drawing will be.
Tallon A4 170gsm Premium Sketch Pad
Script A3 250gsm High Quality Mixed Media Art Pad
I add a non-smudge fixative to each pencil portrait so you can be assured that your artwork won’t be spoiled, but I would still advise handling with care if you wish to transfer to a frame in the future
I put both A3 and A4 artwork in acid free clear plastic artwork pockets. A4 portraits are then placed carefully into a flat cardboard backed ‘Do Not Bend’ envelope. I also put a piece of 3mm hardboard on the other side of the pocketed portrait to further protect from knocks in the post.
A3 artwork is rolled and placed into a cardboard postal tube.
My standard timeline for delivery is typically set at 2 weeks from the date of the deposit payment, though orders outside the UK may require additional time due to shipping durations. However, if you have a specific deadline in mind, please inform me, and I will make every effort to meet your requirements. For those seeking a faster option, I provide an express service at an extra cost of £10, allowing me to complete your drawing in approximately one week from the time of the deposit payment.
Artwork:
I will post your artwork at my local post office and will always choose 48 hour tracked and signed for so you know exactly where it is and when to expect it
Woodcrafts:
I’ll keep you informed when you can expect delivery, but usually, I ask for 2 to 3 days to build your item(s) and I’ll contact you to arrange delivery if you’ve opted for this when buying my smaller garden items. You will need to arrange to pick your large garden furniture up (by prior arrangement) – it will be fully built, so bring appropriate transport!
Private Artwork Commissions:
Of course. Once you’ve placed an order for artwork, I’ll confirm all that with you so you know exactly what the final cost will be and I’ll invoice you.
Please note, you may be subject to extra customs import charges by the receiving country’s postal service.
Art Prints are currently UK delivery only
Wood orders:
Bird tables and planters are local delivery within 5 miles of the BL postcode in the UK only – but you can collect by prior appointment.
Benches are collection ONLY – so please bring appropriate transport.
Novelty animals are only shipped to the UK at present.
Bird Boxes are shipped worldwide (£8 UK, £35 rest of world) – customs charges may apply. Please check before ordering.
Artwork:
I pride myself on attention to details and to get anything you ask me to reproduce in art completely right. I want you to be happy with the finished product which is why I’ll keep you updated at regular intervals, I will send you a watermarked version of the artwork for you to approve before I post it out to you, and I include up to two amendments in the price you pay.
I’m confident you’ll love and cherish your final artwork.
Woodwork:
You’ll receive an exact replica of the animals and / or birdboxes you see subject to slight shading changes in the woodwork and as accurate to the dimensions I quote for each animal. Same goes for any other woodworking you ask me to build for you.
As per my ‘Can I Be Sure I’ll Get What I Order’ FAQ I am confident you’ll enjoy your order of artwork or woodwork. Refunds will only be offered if an item arrives damaged. Please see my Terms and Conditions for more information on this
Nope. The price you see is the price you pay. The only variable might be postal charges and customs charges if you’re ordering outside the UK. This will be checked and verified before any order is placed for delivery outside the UK via the Royal Mail website.
