The Process...

Step 1...

Fill out the form below. Once I’ve received your order request, I’ll get back to you if I need to confirm anything with you.

Step 2...

I’ll get back to you confirming the price – depending on your form selection(s) and give you a rough idea of how long it will take me to do depending on complexity

Step 3...

Once you’re happy with everything so far I’ll then request your 50% deposit, payable by electronic bank transfer (details will be given to you on your invoice via email when I confirm the project with you)

Step 4...

I’ll then get to work on your drawing. When I have finished your drawing I will send a watermarked image to the email address on your order form for you to check and approve.

Step 5...

Once approved, if you wish to add anything extra to your order, I’ll invite you to pay your balance and include my add-ons order page link, should you wish to buy any additional prints

Step 6...

When you final balance is paid, your order (and any add-ons) will be sent to you.

Essential Info...

Please note I only draw head and shoulder portraits! I find this to be better than full length drawings to really capture the detail and personality of the person(s) I’m recreating.

1.

I need a good quality photograph uploaded using the order form further down this page, or in an email if you prefer, scanned preferably if there’s ONLY a printed photo to go off, but a high quality photo file straight from your own online storage, in, say, your camera roll or cloud storage, is best, which I can enlarge for detail as I draw. If you scan your own photo, PLEASE make sure it’s of good quality.

Any photo not suitable ( too bright, too dark, not enough detail, blurry, etc) will be rejected but don’t worry, I’ll work with you to get this right. The more detailed, the better. I always find photos take outside in sunlight are best to get the natural shades and high detail.

I can also combine separate images if you have people or pets on separate photos – please let me know if you want me to do this in your order.

2.

Please indicate in your form if you want any names written carefully with the drawing. This will not cover the drawing, will be in black pen and not obtrusive.

I leave approx. two inch free space around the outside of the sketch should you want to mount and frame it at your leisure. Please note I don’t provide a framing service.

3.

I aim to complete the work within two weeks

If, due to other circumstances I need a little longer, I’ll always keep you updated.

4.

Up to two minor revisions included in the price

Any more alterations will be on a case by case basis, but major changes will incur a minimum £10 amendment fee.

5.

You can revisit my add-ons page at any time to place any additional orders even after you’ve received the original.

You’ll get my special add-ons page link when you’ve approved the original drawing and your balance is due to be paid

6.

Your completed drawing will be an unframed signed graphite pencil original in an acid free plastic wallet then placed in sturdy cardboard.

A4 size portraits are sent in a cardboard envelope by royal mail tracked 48 hours service in the UK. A3 portraits will be sent in a sturdy cardboard tube.

Priority special delivery (UK) is sent by Royal Mail guaranteed next day by 1pm once your sketch is approved and paid for. I’ll always try and accommodate these sooner than non-priority orders but please allow max 7 days from deposit to completion.

Please fill out the form as best as you can. I’ve added a little guidance where possible in the form so I can gather as much information from you as possible before I contact you.

I’ll check your photograph(s) and determine if the lighting and sharpness is sufficient to start work – once I’m happy I can use them, I’ll get back to you to confirm how you’d like me to arrange them (if more than one) for the final portrait.

I’ll confirm all the details including price and delivery times at that stage.
